Since 2016, Thawani has been providing innovative e-payment solutions to facilitate payment transactions, and enhance users’ experience, making it faster and more secure. In March 2018 Thawani launched its first product “Thawani Pay” an online payment application applying local and international security standards. The company was granted the first license to non-banking financial entities (Fintech companies) from the Central Bank of Oman in 2020 and obtained PCI-DSS Certification, a global standard for ensuring credit card data security.
Thawani has focused on introducing unique payment solutions tailored to the needs of its users and presenting them with an improved user experience. The company also provides various payment options for merchants and individuals, such as bill payments, recharging electricity accounts, paying educational fees, government services and donations to charities. The company is always striving to enhance the experience of its users and provide innovative solutions to monitor transactions. Thawani’s key partners include Oman Oil Marketing Company (OOMCO), Haya water, Tasdeed, and Royal Oman Police (ROP).
